Went for restaurant week and will definitely be back . Started with the crab cake and calamari appetizers. Amazing. Crab cake was perfect amount of crab accompanied by an amazing sauce and potatoes were a plus ! The calamari was great . Perfectly fired and the sauces were good too.
Dinner we had a mix of things from salmon, steak, short rib, and chicken parm. Everything was delightful although the salmon was a little charred for my friends liking but it’s personal preference. Steak was cooked perfectly as well as the short rib. The chicken parm was made in vodka sauce 😍😍 my favorite! . The spinach sides was garlicky (yes it’s a word) and totally my favorite
Fast forward to dessert we had the “donuts” , molten chocolate cake and olive cake. The donuts were more of a flattened zeppole (still good) and served with Nutella. The olive cake was a rainbow of flavors from slaty to zesty to sweet. And of course the molten cake was amazing !
Finally Jonathan our waiter was amazing. He was so good we laughed he had us mic’d up. Everything we were questioning he made sure was taken care of from more great to more water. He was amazing !
Nonetheless we will def be back !
Went for dinner tonight with my family and I was blown away. It was quiet with delightful music and mood lighting. The cocktails we tried (The Italian Affair & Margarita Italiano) were perfectly balanced and delicious. The bread they gave us was hot and served with butter. The olive oil we requested was super fresh and tasty. We ordered the pepperoni pizza and oysters for an appetizer and they exceeded expectations. We split the rigatoni with vodka and the arancini and both were incredible. The rapini was a little overdone, but had good flavor. What a hidden gem! Did not disappoint.
This is a great place with delicious cocktails and fresh food. The bourbon whiskey sour is so good and beer is served in ice cold glasses. The antipasto salad is filled with cheese and meats. The rice balls are delicious and the we pizza is the best. Highly recommend. Also Justin is a great bartender. This will be a weekly visit for us to try many of the items on the menu.
First time here. The pasta is homemade and exquisite. The atmosphere is subtle and very welcoming. The food is delicious. Saturdays they have jazz music playing after 6 and I enjoyed the two person jazz band. Very relaxed and not feeling rushed at all. My only complaint is that as the sun went down the lighting got dimmer. I wouldn't have changed the lighting at all.
My dinner was a homemade spinach and ricotta cheese gnocchi over melted butter. I love gnocchi but this was by far the most unique and flavorful I've ever had. Normally gnocchi dishes are heavy, this was not. Highly recommend.
Martini was served in a champagne glass and spilled on my table. Waiter made no attempt to wipe it up. Pasta Fagiole soup was not good. Vegetables in soup were diced or random huge chunks. No quality in food. I ordered shrimp lemon pasta. Had the audacity to cut up the shrimp into small pieces. Might have been 3 whole shrimp in total in dish. Would not recommend this place at all. No pride in food served. Waste of $65 dinner.
Not ever again! Ordered shrimp over risotto. Was served shrimp “soup” with rice. It tasted ok, but it was ridiculous carelessness in the assembly of the dish and just flat out stupid. Look at this pic I attached. There’s risotto under all that slop if you can believe it! Ok, so the cook made a mistake, but then the waiter couldn’t see he was serving a hot mess??? That means they don’t care about what they serve, so I don’t care to go back.
I’ve been to Al Ponte a few times for dinner at a table and at the bar. For the quality of food we got, the price is amazing. Cocktails are on point. Wine selection is great and reasonably priced. Pork chop is outstanding(as pictured). Same with the bolognese. All the pasta is homemade and delicious. Christmas decor at this time of year was certainly a nice touch. Definitely one of the best Italian restaurants around.
Went here with a big group (10) including little kids. They were happy to seat us in the semi-private room that they weren’t seating that night, just because we asked for bench seating — which was so nice and they totally didn’t have to do that! The food was excellent. Pizza was so good. Pork chop, burger, homemade pasta. The salads were HUGE. Would definitely come back here!
